When two routes must share a space, change arrival timing by: • making one route slightly longer • adding a small loop or “S” curve as a delay • sending one car in first, then the other through the cleared lane Rule 2: Protect the exits Many puzzles fail because you “parked perfectly” but blocked the only lane another car needs. Treat the main lane like an emergency corridor: • keep it clear until the final two moves • park edge spaces first if they don’t block anything • save the center-lane parking for last unless it opens space Path-drawing tips that feel small but matter • Avoid hairpin turns. A smooth curve is safer than a sharp corner. • Give every car a buffer before its parking spot. A short straight section helps it enter cleanly. • If two cars need to swap sides, don’t weave both. Move one into a safe “holding” area first, then route the other. What to do when you’re stuck Instead of asking “Who should move?” ask: • Which car is currently blocking the most lanes? • Which parking spot is easiest to claim without creating a new block? • If I park this car now, what lane becomes unusable? That last question catches most dead-end plans. Common fail patterns • Drawing two perfect routes that intersect once (the game will punish you for the one intersection). • Making every route “shortest path” (shortest often means same timing, same crash). • Parking the biggest car early in a spot that blocks the corridor. Mini challenge In three levels, try this approach: solve the level using only one “shared intersection” total (or none). You’ll start drawing routes that naturally avoid chaos.
